Despite the forecast the day turned out to be lovely and sunny. I was expecting to be painting lots of greys in Ireland, but as you can see the colours were fantastic.
Hook Head lighthouse is the oldest working lighthouse in the world.
I also took a plein air workshop with Jenny Aitken which was superb, and painted this seascape below.
All my paintings this week are 20 X 25cm oils on board.

Oak tree in a corn field. This tree caught my attention as we got off the coach at the 17th century Wells House. The sun had just come out and it just looked great. A lovely summer day even though the clouds threatened.
Had a masterclass with Kevin MacPherson on the beach which proved to be mind-blowing but more of that in another post in the future.
